Without Moonlight

For today, we got partying for our united Resistance of EDES and ELAS and SOE. It’s the crowning moment of awesome for the Greek Resistance, so they’re enjoying it. Anecdotal accounts from resistance fighters who were interviewed decades later as well as SOE, there’s consistently reported that:

a. Eddie Myers got sloshed on tsipouro

b. There was hot food for everyone, provided by the revelling villagers

c. There was music and dancing

d. It was snowing on and off

e. There was no moonlight, because the sky was heavy with clouds 😉

Eddie did offer the medal recommendation to both Velouhiotis and Zervas, and again accounts agree that Velouhiotis refused the medal and asked instead for boots for his men.
